For the second year in a row, we have taken our newest engines, pressure washers, lawn tractors, zero-turn mowers and an exciting new line of battery-powered lawn and garden tools on the road and let people tell us what they thought. This year we were in Clearwater, Florida home of Spring Training for several baseball teams. We had the chance to talk with hundreds of baseball fans who stopped to test out our equipment.

It’s actually one of my favorite trips of the year since I get to see first-hand how homeowners are reacting to our innovations. It’s why we do what we do. We get inspired hearing from our consumers and we get loads of good information on what they want to see next. This input fuels our innovation.

Product Consumer Engagement FeedbackFor example, last year we heard from consumers that they loved our innovation, and they wanted to pack even more into one engine. Well, we listened! This year we combined some of our most popular innovations, launching the brand new Quiet Power Technology™ Featuring Just Check & Add™ and InStart® Featuring Just Check & Add™.

We also heard when people asked us for easier. That’s why we introduced a ZTR with more utility, a pressure washer accessory with more efficiency, and Gas Off™ to help make the cleanup less of a mess. And based on the responses we received, I wouldn’t be surprised if several of them are out shopping right now for some of the equipment they tested.

But our annual spring trip is not the only way we interact with our customers.
