Spring Cleaning Made Easy with a Pressure Washer

There are so many great things about spring. Other than the beginning of baseball season, spring brings longer days, warmer temperatures, the smell of fresh cut green grass, and spending more time outdoors. But this time of the year also brings along some major spring cleaning.

With the proper tools, spring cleaning can be fast, easy and fun. For me, this means a pressure washer, it’s one of my favorite tools. It can be used to clean siding, brick, cement, fences, decks, cars, boats and even your grill, all with 1/5 of the water a typical garden hose would use. (It’s never too early to clean your grill for backyard barbeque or tailgating season!)

Power Washing Safety Tips for You & Your

Remember, most dirt can be removed with a pressure washer alone, but some stubborn grime may need the additional help of a cleaning detergent. Be sure to only use pressure washer-safe detergents and never use bleach – it could kill the grass and adjacent landscaping we’ve been waiting all winter to see!

Also, remember that not all pressure washers are intended for the same job. Choose a pressure washer of the proper pressure and flow setting based on the area or item you are going to wash, how much time you have and how often you intend to use it.

And of course, review power washing safety tips and your operator’s manual before starting your spring cleaning projects. Remember that gas-powered pressure washers, like all gas-powered outdoor power equipment, emit carbon monoxide, a very-dangerous odorless, colorless gas. So, never run a gas-powered pressure washer in any enclosed area. If you need to pressure wash your garage floor, an electric pressure washer works best!

Hopefully these high-powered spring cleaning tips will help you fly through your to-do list so you’re able to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather with your family or catch a ball game at the park!
